Otherworld Labyrinth — Complete Dungeon Guide
The Otherworld Labyrinth (異界迷宮) beneath Hirasaka Academy is the central dungeon spanning 5 layers. Based on early access reviews (A9VG 8.5/10), each layer features unique art themes, enemy rosters, and escalating puzzle complexity.
⚠️ Phantom Poison System(幻素中毒)
Each labyrinth entry begins with a 1,000-capacity Phantom Bottle. Killing enemies and collecting materials fills the bottle with "Phantom Essence." When full, the bottle has a high chance of shattering, inflicting a severe debuff: continuous HP drain that cannot be healed.
Phantom Essence is also a valuable resource — spend it to unlock inventory slots, purchase NPC interaction points, and activate new game mechanics. The system encourages multiple exploration runs rather than clearing an entire layer in one go.Pro tip: Spend your Essence before the bottle hits 800+ capacity.
Layer 1 — Entrance to the Otherworld
Early Game (Ch.1-2)The tutorial layer. Introduces basic 2D platforming, enemy types, and the transition between 2D exploration and 3D boss combat. Simple layout with few branching paths — ideal for learning the combat fundamentals.

Guardian Warden (Tutorial Boss)

Layer 2 — The Winding Paths
Early-Mid (Ch.2-3)Introduces multi-route layouts. Side paths contain Memory Shards and Elemental Cores for Soul Board upgrades. First appearance of breakable walls concealing hidden treasure rooms.

Layer 3 — The Mechanical Depths
Mid Game (Ch.3-4)Where the labyrinth truly comes alive. Features portals, spike traps, hidden chests requiring wall jumps or double jumps, looping shortcuts, and environmental puzzles (fireball-activated walls). This is where Metroidvania elements fully emerge.
Automata Knights, Phase Spiders, Dark Wisps
Ancient Automaton (Earth-element)
Wall jumps, double jumps, portals, spike traps, fireball puzzles
Layer 4 — The Sunken Sanctuary
Late Game (Ch.4-5)Water-themed layer with flooded sections requiring specific Soul Board abilities to traverse. Underwater combat areas and pressure-plate puzzles. Some areas can only be accessed by backtracking with abilities learned in deeper layers.
